Robot Wars and Disentegration Chambers [Permalink]
I just read an article about some new technology that will allow robots to replace humans on the frontlines of a battlefield. Robot Wars. I was reminded of the old-style star trek episode A Taste of Armageddon in which two plants are at war, and have been for over 500 years. They see no reason to stop the conflict because the war is so clean.

Will we get to that point - where we meekly go do a 'disentegration chamber' because some computer tells us that we got virtually bombed? I certainly hope not.
