Snake! [Permalink]
When I went on vacation to St. George we took a little side trip to some caves. We only walked around a little in the first room, because my dad is taking my sister and I there for Christmas. Well, anyway on the way out, my grandpa was looking for something and I was climbing up to help him look when I saw a big snake stick its head out of the crevasse that I was about to put my hand into. At first we thought it was a rattlesnake but as we got a closer look at it we realized that it was not a rattlesnake. But just as quickly as it had come it slithered away where we could not see it. We were all surprised because  because most snakes should have been hibernating. We estimated that it was about six feet long. When we got home my mom and I did a little bit of research And concluded that it was a gopher snake.

It was fun having you here this weekend. You were a big help to me. I am glad we got a picture of the snake. It's a good thing you realized what it was before you would have touched it!!! Scary
